Privacy
We treat the data you share with CRIMS with the same seriousness as the incidents it describes. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected.
We collect the personal information you provide when you create an account, file a report, or contact the support team. This includes your name, contact details, the contents of any report you file, and any evidence you choose to attach.
Your information is used to process reports, route cases to the right officer, communicate with you about your case, and improve the service. It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Every record is protected by row-level access controls. Reporters can access only their own reports and evidence. Officers can access only the cases assigned to them. Administrators can oversee the system as a whole. Every privileged action is recorded in an audit trail.
Reports and the evidence attached to them are retained for as long as required to support the investigation and to comply with our legal obligations. Accounts can be closed on request through the support channel.
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, and request deletion subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain it.
For any privacy-related question, please use the Contact page to get in touch with our team.
